Why did my breast pump lose suction, hurt, or make a loud noise?
If your pump is not working as expected, first check the fit, assembly, and suction settings.
For low suction:
- Make sure all pump parts are clean, dry, and correctly assembled.
- Check the silicone valve and other sealing parts for wear, damage, or incorrect installation.
- Make sure the breast shield or flange size fits comfortably.
For discomfort:
- Start with the lowest suction setting and gradually increase it to a comfortable level.
- Check that the nipple is centered correctly in the breast shield.
- If discomfort continues, stop using the pump and reassess the flange size and settings before trying again.
For unusual noise:
- Check that the motor and connecting parts are securely installed.
- Reassemble the pump according to the user manual.
If the issue continues, please contact us at service@drisla.com with your order number and, if possible, a short video showing the issue.
